Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Giant Goodie
Giant Goodie

He is doing well. His name is now Buddy . He is a handful but everyone loves him and he loves them back. Thank you for letting me adopt such a precious puppy

Coach

We adopted “Coach” the Catahoula mix back in November! We have renamed him Cain, and he is AWESOME!!!! Goes everywhere with us, he loves to be out where ever we are! So far easy to train, and has quite the personality when you tell him “NO” he barks one more time to make sure he has the last word! Just wanted to say Thank You again Cain has really been a Great dog!!!! The Carmeans.

Yasmine

Just wanted to let you all know we had a DNA test done on Yasmine (now known as Sasha) to find out what breed she was mixed with and you'll never will guess what came back. She is 50% German Shepard, 25% Shiba Inu and 25% Boston Terrier! CRAZY!!!

I would love to share this information with her brothers and sisters by sending you guys this e-mail.

We are so happy with her. She is a very smart and loving dog. I have attached some photos for you.

Thanks again.

Urban
Urban

Formerly Urban now "Cody". Cody was the last one of his litter left without a home and with two male faces smooshed together "cody and my boyfriend" saying PLEAASSEEEE, I gave in. We absolutely adore Cody, and all want to thank his foster parent/s for taking such good care of him. He comes when you call him and sits right down next to you! He is getting huge, his coast has now changed to his moms curls, and he went from all chocaolate brown, to some multi colors under his tail and on his back, and the rest of him his lightening up as well. This is Cody's best friend Tiny who we found outside our door on christmas. Thank you to all of you for all the work and effort you put into saving these wonderful beautiful animals!
