Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Sadie

Lacey, formerly known as Sadie, is adjusting very well. Loves her walks, loves to eat and loves to play with her toys. She is a very loving dog and has made a lot of friends in my dog friendly community.

My dog recently passed away and I did not think I would be able to fall in love with another dog so fast.  But, it was easy with Lacey . I adore her and we have definitely bonded.  She now has a forever home.

Thank you for bringing Lacey into my life. I am looking forward to volunteering to help find a forever home for other dogs and cats who need a good home.

Elona

Zoe

Kitten Cam Diva Princess Zoe has adjusted so well to my other 3 male cats!  Everyone loves her.

She is one happy and spoiled kitten.

You have an excellent organization and you should be an example to other rescues!

Great job!

Lorrie

Grey Goose

Please see the latest pic of our family. Beau (formerly Grey Goose) fits right in!!!

I will find him sleeping with Gizmo (the pup) when I get home from work and he loves to play with both.

Thai thinks her new little brother is great, has made her more social!

Thanks again!!!

Wendy

Luckie

Mia, formerly known as Luckie, is so cute and fun! She has learned to speak and sit. She is potty trained and kennel trained at bedtime and when we leave the house. She is so playful with our 2 boys that are 7 and 11. We just love her. She is a digger and a rock, dirt, stick eater! We have offered her alternative chew items, she just loves to bite and chew on natural items. She likes showers or baths and listens most of the time. She doesn't always come when called. She has a doggie door she learned to use and has a fenced in back yard.

Life is good. She is such a welcomed addition to our family. Our 11 year old says he feels so special now because he has a dog to care for. He also said he feels more responsible. Our boys do potty pick up daily without complaints! Once in a while I see them do "rock, paper, scissor" to see who has to wear the glove and pick up vs. who has to hold the bag. This puppy has brought our family even closer. So much joy and love is shared.

Thank you!

Sissy

Here is a picture of Sissy that was taken today. She is doing good. Sissy did good at her meet and greet with the vet. We are all adjusting.

Thanks for bringing Sissy into our home.

Have a great day,

Sue
