Description:
This little love bug is roughly a 2 years old female Chihuahua, Jack Russell maybe Rat Hound mix. We’re not entirely sure of her back stor—shocker! She was rescued by A Second Chance from a high kill shelter in Alabama. She was heartworm positive and pregnant with three llittle ones. After months of love, care and attention, Thalia is ready for her forever home. All three puppies went to an amazing home. Now it is her turn.
Thalia is a shy girl. I had her for 3 days before she emerged from underneath my bed. Once she came out, she tentatively sat next to us on the couch and followed my two pittie mixes around the house. As she gradually become more comfortable, her personality began to show. She became very attached to me, and I found her following me, curling up in my lap and sleeping in a ball at my pillow. I was told that she had a hard time with men, but she eventually made friends with my husband, actually sleeping on his pillow! She is “the princess in residence“ She is so confortable that she barks at delivery people, kicks the other dogs of the couch and gives many kisses. If you are ready for an extremely affectionate, reserved, little girl, she is the one for you. It will take you being patient with her. Thalia needs time to get comfortable and acclimated to her surroundings, but once she does, she is a Velcro shadow. Her sweet, funny little personality comes out and you can’t help but pick her up and shower her with kisses.
Note: Thalia will stock pile all the dog toys in your house. She drags them to her bed and sleeps on them! Adorable!!!
she also gets along well with other dogs, cats, people and children.
