I'm a big tub of love!  I came to A Second Chance when I was just 8oz but now I'm a big boy and very ready to go to a new home.  I'm a mellow cat but I'm a very friendly cat to those I know.  Like most cats, I'm not a huge fan of strangers right at first, but if they rub my belly then it won't take me long to know I have a friend.  If I see that you are lying on a couch with no one to snuggle with, please allow me to volunteer to take that space.  I will melt into your arms and lap.  I am affectionate without being needy and if you pass by me as you walk around the house, just look at me and talk to me, and I will usually lay back and offer up my belly for a rub.  I hear that rubbing my belly brings good luck, like a furry buddha, but that's currently just a rumor.  I purr like a motorboat and love being held... just see the attached picture of me at a loud, outdoor, motorcycle themed event....so calm and relaxed that I just slept on a volunteer's lap despite all the activity around me.  Since I'm a black cat I wasn't as desirable as some of the others so I've been with my rescuers a while.  The constant availability of food and lack of exercise made me a big boy, but now that I am at a foster house and in a home environment, my appetite level is getting back to normal so I can be a normal size cat someday.
