Description: I am a Royal Bahamian Potcake. (Yes, that is a registered breed of dog and you can google it lol). I was flown here today on a small private plane from the Humane Society of the Greater Bahamas in Freeport. On the 4th of July, I was dragged across a parking lot by a car and had to have my left, rear leg amputated. The shelter felt I would have a better chance of finding a home here in America. My foster Mommy named me Indy since I was dropped at the Humane Society with my leg badly broken and with road rash all over on the 4th of July. My foster Mommy said I got my Independence that day from a life of trying to live on the streets and avoid starvation in the Bahamas since there are so many of us running loose. I am very smart. I can walk on three legs as easily as if I had four. I am very friendly and get along with all the dogs at my fosters house. When I wag my tail (which is all the time), my whole back end swings back and forth. I have never gone to the bathroom in my crate/pen and I can swim (foster Mommy has a pool and wanted to make sure I knew how with only three legs). I love stuffed toys. I will probably be about 35-40 lbs when full grown. Please don't let my handicap cause you to turn away. I will be a wonderful companion, friend and playmate.
