Description:

My name is Jambalaya, my foster mommy says it’s because I look like the mixture of meats and seafood when she makes that. Someone found me wandering in McIntosh County and took me to a place called Animal Services. I was VERY pregnant!! Ms. Shelley picked me up on her return run from GA where she had picked up more rescued animals and brought me to Royal Palm Beach on August 13, 2011, where I met my foster mom. It was storming SO bad mommy kept telling me it would be okay, and it was! She slept with her hand on my belly and walked me outside a lot at night where I would roll over for belly rubs and fall sound asleep under the stars.  The first night of school for the 2-legged people in this house was a busy night! I had 5 beautiful, healthy babies!! My mommy and daddy stayed with me, helped me when I got tired and gave me SO much love!! Another big day came when my mommy said my babies would be going to new homes soon but would I be willing to help her just a little bit longer? They brought 5 little babies, only a few days old, up from Miami/Dade where they had been found in a storm with no mommy. Mommy separated me from my babies and still has me nursing the new ones….SOON she says I get to go for my own surgery and start looking for a Furr-Ever family.

I have gotten very close to my foster family and love playing with the girls (ages 5 & 6) and they have a variety of other dogs. At first I wasn’t too happy about the ones who play rougher, now I love to get them all wound up and walk up to the mommy of the house and look REALLY innocent, like, “okay, all yours!!” They don’t have any cats here but I love to chase the birds even though mommy says I can’t catch them. I still love to roll over outside and get my belly rubs and the mommy here says she will eventually get her own bed pillow back all to herself yeah, whatever that means!!
