Description:(10/26/2011) – Jake has been with our family for just over 12 weeks now. He has progressed nicely toward the learning of commands and his place with in the pack. He understands the basic commands of sit, lay, stay, come, up close and from a short distance, and we are working on heel with automatic sit. He is very good on the leash now as well with minimal pulling. Some times we take him on a leashed bike ride, which he LOVES. When we have taken him to the dog park he has gotten along well with the dogs there. He understands the proper way to approach. There have been no problems between our medium sized dogs and him; he was a bit rough when he first came but he has learned to appreciate other dogs’ boundaries. Jake gets along wonderfully with our two boys, 6 & 8, as well as our house cat. He is still a very warm hearted dog looking for a family he can share his love with.
(8/21/2011) – Jake is a beautiful and energetic bulldog / lab mix with a warm heart and a mild temperament toward people. He is a quick study of commands and has learned our household rules quickly since he came 2 weeks ago (8/7/2011). He loves to go on walks and to play with his foster family in the yard! His play style can be a little rough at times as he is still young and learning limits and how he ranks within the pack. At the end of the day Jake is very happy to lay by your feet as you watch TV. Jake is also GREAT with kids, crate trained and house broken!
