Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Elvis
Elvis

Elvis, (now Willie) is doing great. He as brought a lot of joy to our home and as adjusting extremely well. He had his first trip to his new vet and recently went to an native american Pow-Wow for socialization.

We are in love with Elli and she is soooooo smart. We are in week 4 of puppy kindergarten but she is far ahead in her home training. She is almost housebroken, loves her toys, keeps her crates clean and is willing to play at ANY hour of the day. We really got lucky. She is the pick of the litter as far as I am concerned and she and my husband are inseparable from 5:00a.m. on. Thank you so much for being in existence so we could take a chance on another dog. Call, write, or do the home visit anytime.

Elvis is now named Jack. He is doing really well :) He was part of the family from the moment he entered the house! His two older sister dogs love playing with him and teaching him how to use the bathroom outside. He is really coming along with his training and has started to ask to go out. He goes to our family vet at Banfield and has been twice now for his puppy shots. He did test postive for hookworm so he is just finishing up his dewormer treatment. He is doing really well on his daily walks and loves to meet and greet people and other pets.

We have changed her name to Holly, she seems to like that! She is growing in leaps and bounds, and we can't wait until she is old enough to visit the dog park! Nancy and Rocco Arena
