Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Foxy

Hello: Foxy is now "Nugget" and she's doing beautiful! She loves her sisters and they play constantly! She is sweet and full of love! We go to the El Rio Trail everyday for a 1-1/2 mile walk. She's wonderful! Attached are a couple of pictures. I'll send more as time goes by. Thank you for letting me have this joy! Warmest Regards, Mary Sawran

Fenway
Fenway

Fenway is doing just terrific and is a cheerished member of our family after the old aged death of our former companion, Mollie, who was with us for 13 years. He has fitted in so well, it's almost like he has always been with us. He likes his walks, we go to the beach, he puts on his life vest and we go for rides in our little boat. He is loving, fun and committed to us. Thank you for letting us all have a Second Chance at life................it's a perfect fit.

Frissy
Frissy

Her name is now Harley. Since I spoke with the trainer there have been no accidents in the house. No problems at all that I can think of. She likes hanging out in her cage, even when the door is open. Merry Christmas. Thanks for everything. John

Fuzzy

Frankie
Frankie

Hi Kathy, Thank you for taking the time to check on our new little family. Freddie and Falcon have been renamed to Pip and Squeek. I have attached a few pictures of them in their new home. We have been to our vet twice and have had their booster shots. We have one other cat in the house named Lou. We are slowly introducing them and so far it has gone very well. No hissing, spitting or scratching. Pip is the darker colored tabby and Squeek is more blonde. Thing are going great and I am very appreciative for all you have done to create our little furry family. I have recommended your organization to many of my friends and actually my boss adopted a dog named Bucky the week after I got Pip and Squeek. Everyone is so happy together.
