Animal Success Stories
As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story! Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Hawk
Hawk is doing wonderful! He's a very smart, cuddly, and active dog. He has incredibly long legs for a dachshund and is able to go on beach runs with my husband and is loving it! We give him lots and lots of love. He is doing really well with potty training and crate training - he goes to the door every time he has to pee (almost!) and can "hold it" for about 2 hours now without peeing in his crate. He has a very small bladder :)
He's probably 7 lbs now - we have another appointment with the vet this Friday so we'll know more soon! He's growing so fast. We adore him and are so happy he's part of the family. The only thing is, he loves to love...people, animals, leaves, anything! So we're thinking about moving and getting him a sibling :) We'll be sure to come back to A Second Chance!
Thanks for everything, and feel free to let us know if you ever need us. Also, if anyone were ever to give up one of Hawk's biological siblings, please do let us know!! We'd take him or her in a heartbeat.

Hugo (Miss Hugo)
Hello,
I thought I would share some pictures of Wink (formerly Miss Hugo). She is doing very well and we could not imagine life without her.

Harve
This is Koa, previously known as Harve! He comes to work with me everyday at Jet Set Pets. He is full of energy and love to give. Thank you so much to A Second Chance Rescue for adopting to us this beautiful boy! Jade
Heshy
Hi there! I just wanted to put a success story up about the puppy we adopted seven months ago after seeing some of the success stories of his litter mates. Heshy, renamed Bear, is doing great! He loves going to the park, chasing lizards, basking in the sun, digging/getting muddy, going for long walks, and playing in the park. He is such a smart dog. Although, he does not like going into the water much, last week he went for his first swim with his girlfriend Bella, who is a 9 month old goldendoodle.
He is very vocal and makes his needs known - he likes to cuddle and give lots of kisses! He is such a blessing. We love him so much. He just turned 9 months old last week and he already weighs 50 pounds! Thank you so much. Your organization is doing such amazing work. Here are some pictures of Bear... Neelam
Hot Lips Houlihan
Her new name is Onyx and she is amazing. We love her so much and she just loves her brother the Australian Shepard "Arthur." She is a perfect match to our family.
Her picture is enclosed. Ann G. and Family
