Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Hi! Lady, now Lola, is doing great overall. She is adjusting well. We have a few issues that I'm going to get a trainer to address, but my husband & I are working on them in the interim. :)

She's a happy girl and I think she's enjoying her new life. :) Attached a few pics.

Lucey

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply but I have been out of town. Lucey is a wonderful addition to our family. She and my Lab have become the best of friends and she even gets along with my cats! She is a lizard-chaser of the highest order and finds plenty of them to pounce on in my yard. We had some initial problems with colitis and then worms but I think that is under control now.

Hi, last time you emailed me I didn't have any great pictures of Anakin to send you, we are so happy with him! He loves the beach and dog park He's in perfect health and I wanted to thank you so much again! I've attached new pics of him. You guys are great people doing an amazing thing! Larry

Hi there, Larry is great. He fits into our family very well. We have an older Sheppard mix who was not moving around much because he is old and Larry has brought life to him; they play well together. Larry is doing real good on his house training and is real good on a leash. We are all very happy to have Larry a part of our family. Thanks so much, The Allens

Lover

Hi Kathy...Lover is doing great! We have named him Drake. My 20 year old son is home for the week with his dog (adopted last year from second chance -Solstice..renamed Captain). The two dogs are having a great time together and we feel very blessed to have them. I tried to attach a pic from earlier this week. My younger son will be taking Drake to dog training next month (through the community center here in Boca). I may look into adopting again later in the summer- not a pup...so Drake has a companion.
