Animal Success Stories
As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story! Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Sashaa
Sasha is doing great - mothering my other 4 fosters that will be going up for adoption on Saturday. Can't wait to see how she does with the next group of pups.
She spent a week at a friend's house while we were away and had a great time playing with their 2 chis.
She's just a fun bucket:)

Sherman
My son fell in love with this puppy as soon as we entered the RV belonging to ”A Second Chance”. Kevin is 10 and he had been after us for at least a year that he wanted a dog. Being a cat person, I was not too enthralled with the idea, but that afternoon we were going to meet friends at the movies , saw the sign for “A Second Chance” and our future was written on the wall!
Kevin wasn’t interested in smaller puppies, as I had thought, but instead, fell in love with “Sherman” at first sight. We fostered him for a month, to make sure that it would work out, and now….I can’t separate the two! Snoopy, as he is now called, sleeps on his doggie bed, beside Kevin’s bed, and gives us many hours of entertainment. The cats have got used to a dog (four times their size)trying to play and eat their food, , he barks when he wants to go out, and knocks when he wants to come back in! He is the most tail wagging dog that we have ever met, and all the visiting kids enjoy the growing horse- I mean, puppy.
A rescue animal is always the best. Somehow they know their predicament and love you all the more for it. Kudos to “A Second Chance” for all your hard work!

Sulley
We adopted Sulley, now Toby, on May 15 (we also adopted Vaughn, now Buddy, a few months earlier) and we love our boys! Toby is 3 months old and 30 lbs...we got ourselves some big boys!
They are such good puppies and love playing together! Toby had some accidents at first but is learning quick with his big brother's help. Buddy and Toby are so smart, they both know how to sit, paw, lay down, and roll over! Buddy loves his family and the newest addition to the family, Toby.
We are so happy with our two happy, healthy boys from A Second Chance Rescue. Ana & DJ
Scruffy
Scruffy has been a terrific addition to our family. He has adjusted extremely well to our other dogs, a 15 year old yorkie and 7 year old sheltie. He is one of the most loveable, playful dogs we have ever had. Ellen was terrific with the adoption and I think Scruffy will be very happy for a long time.
Sincerely,
Wayne Miller
