Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Molly

We adopted Molly after a week of fostering. It was a little rocky at first, but things have worked out beautifully with the two girls. She and Mylie, her adoptive sister get along great!

The grandchildren visited last weekend and after a short meeting period, she warmed up to them nicely. Definitely part of the family.

Thank you A Second Chance Rescue!

Buddy

Jack (fka Buddy) is THE most amazing cat!  He is perfect in every way!  From his first day, he has fit into our family with 2 large dogs, 4 other cats and 2 small children beautifully!  He is pretty comfortable with the dogs – only hissing at them if they try to chase him – and he is good with the other cats.  Very non-confrontational.

He has the sweetest personality!  He lets the kids pick him up, pet him, carry him, all the while purring really loud!  The kids like to play  “house” with him in my closet.  They bring his food and water in the closet, he is the baby and they are the mommy and daddy!  Jack plays along like he knows what he is supposed to be doing!  It is so amazing to me that someone dumped him! He couldn’t be any more perfect!

Thank you so much for rescuing him!

Very Truly yours,

Cinnamin

Little Grey

Hello, I wanted to share an update about Cuddles ("Little Grey"), the cat we adopted back in June. He is getting to be a very big kitty, 10 pounds now!!!! He is a little over 8 months old and he is extremely smart and funny. He sure loves to eat and cuddle, and play a lot. We are truly enjoying him!!!!! Thank you for everything!!!!

Violet

Violet fits in perfect with our family!

She is so cuddly and sweet. She loves playing with her new cat/dog brother and sisters and has learned how to use the doggy door and has not had an accident in the house since!

She loves playing with her toys, especially ones that squeak! She has been to many places so far including a nursing home where she brought many smiles to people!

We love her so much!

Whitney

Blush

Hi there!

Roxy (formerly known as Blush) is doing well!  We love her very much!

We sent of a DNA sample and it came back American Staffordshire mix with Chow and Poodle. My guess is she's more American Staff and Lab.  But nonetheless, we will call her a Lab mix moving forward as we don't want any hassles with her having Staff in her

Thank you again for saving this pup for us!

Kari
