Animal Success Stories
As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story! Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

I-Cutie
Just wanted to let you know that I-Cutie (now Roxy) is doing great. She is such a mischievous and smart pup. Although she is quite the troublemaker, nobody can resist that cute little face of hers. She is just such a good natured dog and gets along with everyone and everything. We go to Okeeheelee Dog Park and hope to one day see her siblings. You have truly blessed us and we are so grateful to have her in our family. Thanks as always, The Lear Family
Cashmere
Cashmere.... How lucky we feel to have her in our family.
From the day we brought her into our family we just knew she was special. She is fully potty trained... she will sit at your feet and stare quietly
at you until you open the back door....so smart! She is now sleeping all night (yeah).
We are sure the foster approach is by far the best way for an abandoned puppy to begin their life, it just shows in the demeanor of the pups.
Thank you to all the volunteers who give so much so families like ours can be blessed with a little girl like Cashmere.
Thanks,
The Walter Family
Valli
We adopted Valli and Vidalia on April 14, 2012.
Since then we renamed them Abby and Roxy. Abby is all black and Roxy is brown and black. See attached picture of what they looked like when they were first adopted and what they look like a year later. We love them very much they both are sweet and have very nice personalities. Abby is more laid back than Roxy but she is very possessive of her toys and will bark at Roxy if she tries to get near her toys. They are both good watch dogs with deep loud barks that would scare any intruder.
Abby now weighs 90 pounds and Roxy weighs 80 pounds. They are very close sisters always laying near each other and playing together. We also have another dog, Kodi, a Siberian Husky who was an adult dog when we adopted the puppies. He was lonely so that is why we adopted the puppies so that he would have someone to play with. When we first brought the puppies home they were frightened of Kodi but now they are larger than he is and adore him so much that they will fight for his attention.
The Haupt Family
Greg (Brady Bunch)
We call him Brady --Greg from the Brady Bunch) He is not only adorable, but has made us laugh so much. He took to his crate in a flash also house trained in less then a week.
He loves to play, especially outside in our fenced yard and he loves going out in the car with us. He loves other dogs & people a little too much, so we are going to take him to school real soon for manners.
We can't imagine our life without him.

Moxi
Moxi now goes by the name of Lexi. Her favorite activity is to go to Jupiter Beach! She also adjusted very well to our dog, Cooper, a malti-poo. They enjoy tug of war on a daily basis, and soon Lexi will be big enough to win every time!
Thank you A Second Chance! We do believe that foster families go a long way towards a new puppy in the home. Lexi had already learned how to walk on a leash, she was mostly housebroken, and she responded quickly to commands.
