Just wanted to update everyone on what a wonderful addition Bentley has been to our family since we adopted her. She is one of the smartest and most loveable dogs we have ever seen. We officially adopted her on October 20th and by October 22nd she was already sitting on command (less than 3 days after that she learned to lay down on command)!! We are now working on “Paw” to shake (which she has almost mastered).

She is so lovable and likes to be cuddled and have her belly and paws rubbed. We have crate trained her and have also taught her to ring a bell that we hung by the front door (which we learned from a You tube video) so she can let us know when she has to go outside, and now she also loves to ring it once when she returns back inside to say “I DID IT!”

I want to send out a big “THANK YOU” to Cindy & Michelle, who are two of the nicest caring people and have such big hearts to do what they do on a daily basis. This organization is lucky to have you guys. Not only do they find good homes for these animals but also keep in touch with the families who have adopted them to see how they are happily adapting and growing. I am attaching pictures for all to enjoy.

Griffin

Just sending you an up to date picture of Griffin. He is doing well. He has adjusted to my family with no problem. He’s a very active little boy and still has a lot of learning to do, but in time I’m sure he will prevail.

It was rough in the beginning with the other dog adjusting to Griffin, but now they are the best of friends

Thank you again, A Second Chance Rescue, for giving us the opportunity to foster Griffin on a trial basis to see if he would be compatible to my family. So as you can see we were Foster Failures…LOL

Akira

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to share a few pictures of Akira and I. It's been almost a year since I adopted her and it’s been the BEST decision I've ever made. She is my first dog and first adoption. If my home were bigger, I would without hesitation adopt another 4 legged friend!

She's SUPER friendly and loving. Everyone that meets her say she's a very happy and beautiful dog. She used to jump a lot on people to greet them, but we've worked on that and she's gotten a lot better.

Thank you guys for all the hard work and all the dedication you put into the rescue. I know I wouldn't have met Akira if you guys weren't involved in the picture!

Olyver

Enclosed is a picture of Dawson and his now best friend Olyver.

We adopted Olyver on September 22 at one of your PETCO events.

Dawson and Olyver have become very close friends. Olyver sleeps with Dawson, they play together (Olyver seems very keen to video games!) and they spend time outside together.

Olyver has changed the dynamics of the house for everyone. He has become a little companion to all of us. He is playful, funny and curious and we all love him (especially Dawson!)

We are very happy Olyver is now part of the family and that he will be part of all our adventures.
