Animal Success Stories
As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story! Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Darius
Darius recently celebrated his 2nd birthday. He has been such a great part of this family. Sometimes he acts like one of the kids…he even climbs up you and gives you hugs. He’s the best dog we’ve have ever had. At night he either sleeps in our baby girl’s room or in the hallway between the kids’ rooms. He and our 4 year old son are inseparable. He waits for him at the front door and chases him around the house when he gets home. He was very accepting to our new addition when she came home last October. We were a bit worried because he is such a loving and energetic dog but he is very gentle with her. We are so happy we adopted him. He fits into our family just perfectly. Krystina
Yasmin
Roxy (aka Yazmin) is such a great puppy. She was well trained before getting her. I also became friends with her foster mom on Facebook. We have talked about getting her together with one of her brothers Yale (now Bo). I loved the adoption process. Everyone was so nice. I speak highly of you all and tell everyone about A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue. The love you gave to all these cats and dogs is simply amazing. Thank you for that. Roxy is so lovable. The way she sleeps cracks me up on a daily basis. She does so well with the create training. She listens very well. We all adore her and are so glad to have gotten her from A Second Chance Rescue. If we would get another dog we would definitely do it again with you. As of now we are good with our two. Thanks for everything. I am very proud to have adopted her and sometimes feel like a spokesperson for you guys. Kristy
Georgia
Hello! It has almost been a month since I brought Pepper (previously known as Georgia) home with me. She sure is a handful but I am totally in love with her! We have so much fun together. She is adjusting well to her new home and life. Pepper is such a sweetie, and a true social
butterfly. She loves to meet new people and share her love with everyone, which is great because everyone who meets her immediately
falls in love with her. Everyone who sees her is amazed by all of her speckles and wants to know where they can find a puppy just like her. She's getting so much bigger every day! Thank you so much for letting me adopt her. Having Pepper in my life has made me so happy! Allison
Penn
Buddy (formerly Penn) is such a smart, energetic, and delightful puppy. He has recently discovered his love of the ocean and has become quite a good swimmer! He gets along so well with my little niece and his puppy friends at the dog park (we go to Okeeheelee almost every night and would love to meet up with his siblings and foster family). Buddy is a rough and tumble puppy but also a loving and devoted companion, and his training is coming along very well. I am so grateful that A Second Chance brought us together. He is such an important part of my life, and I cherish every moment with him. Thank you! With love, Tami
