Hi, my name is Asher (f/k/a Striker). I am a super sweet little Yorkie boy who made my foster mom, Marissa, swoon. I used all my charming ways and they worked because she became a foster failure and adopted me!!

I am so very happy in my new home! I was a breeder dog and spent 7 years of my life as such. When I met Marissa and my “brother,” Tito, I didn’t know how to walk on a leash, go up or down stairs, what a toy was, or even how to be held without going stiff. Boy have I come a loooong way!

I love going on long walks and I race my silky brother, Tito, up and down the stairs. My favorite is being held by my mommy and curling up on her soft bed is a close second! I’ve already gained some weight and am on my way to being a very healthy boy…and I am already so happy!

Violet

Hi all at A Second Chance Rescue!

Wanted to update you on my adopted baby Darla (f/k/a Violet, daughter of Vaila).

She is doing wonderful! So much energy. Never stops moving. Plays in the pond daily and when the yard floods....she makes a lot of wake. She lives with a ball in her mouth 24/7. When she sleeps...its right next to her, when she eats..she puts it next to her bowl and when she drinks from the water bowl..its in it!

We absolutely love her. What joy she brings to our family. Our 85 lb. girl that thinks she is a lap dog. She is. Thanks so much.

Ambyr who has been given the middle name "happypie" from my younger son is doing absolutely great! She was made to be a huge part of this family and has adjusted to loving us as we well us loving her very deeply.

She has helped to complete this family and there is nothing in this world that we would not do to continue to make her feel at home and part of this family. Not only is she a great family member she is also a great protector and friend to my boys.

Hawk

Hawk is doing wonderful! He's a very smart, cuddly, and active dog. He has incredibly long legs for a dachshund and is able to go on beach runs with my husband and is loving it! We give him lots and lots of love. He is doing really well with potty training and crate training - he goes to the door every time he has to pee (almost!) and can "hold it" for about 2 hours now without peeing in his crate. He has a very small bladder :)

He's probably 7 lbs now - we have another appointment with the vet this Friday so we'll know more soon! He's growing so fast. We adore him and are so happy he's part of the family. The only thing is, he loves to love...people, animals, leaves, anything! So we're thinking about moving and getting him a sibling :) We'll be sure to come back to A Second Chance!

Thanks for everything, and feel free to let us know if you ever need us. Also, if anyone were ever to give up one of Hawk's biological siblings, please do let us know!! We'd take him or her in a heartbeat.
