Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Caramel

Just wanted to follow up on my promise to send pictures of "Caramel." We have since named her Lucy and she is the most amazing addition to our home! Thank you and your team so much for all you do. We are so happy with everything and continue to sing your and A Second Chance’s praises to all who remark on Lucy!

Please let me know if you need any testimonial or feedback, we would be more than happy to help.

Thanks again for all for everything!!!

Eve

Thanks again for all your help during this process. We're SO happy to have Eve as part of our family. We changed her name to Molly Tekila, as my daughter chose Molly and my son chose Tekila! She is a loving dog, but a little bit shy with strangers, so we've been introducing her regularly to all our friends and she is doing great! She is interacting a little bit more every time! She definitely loves kids and she is wonderful around them!

Since we got her she is the one in charge of waking up the kids in the morning! It's so funny because she does it by kissing them until they're awake! They call her affectionately the "kissing monster."

Many thanks again for everything and I'll keep you posted!

Sincerely,
Rosa Velazquez

Dori
Dori

Hello, Dori is adjusting great with our Min Pins. She does not interact much with our 17 year old Min Pin but she is feeling at home with our 8 year old. Abbey and Dori have play time every morning and they both love being out in the lani. She has adopted to sharing an oversize cage with Abbey to sleep in. She is getting use to the commands that Abbey and Duke are custom to hearing such as 'Bed'. We are very happy that we were able to offer Dori a 'Forever home'. Maria and James Placeres

Penny
Penny

Sorry for the delay but i have been extremley busy at work with back to school. Penny is doing awesome and my family loves her. My daughter spends every minute with her and penny adores her. Penny is getting bigger and we put her on a raw diet and it is amazing the difference in the energy she has after switching her foods. We will keep you up to date with her progress and we have let several people know about you organization and hopefully they will come adopt from you. Keep up the great work! Adam Born

Winston

Hi Kathy, My husband and I have renamed him C.J. which stands for Chance Jr. He looks exactly like our Chocolate Lab that we have when he was about 1 year old and his name is Chance. Things are going good with C.J. He has had a few accidents in the house even though we take him out to go potty a lot throughout the day. We took him to Dr. Fox for his check-up and inside C.J.'s bottom eye lid on the right side, it has always been very red and I asked the vet about it and he didn't seem concerned.
