Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Good morning, Thank you again for the opporunity that you gave to us for have our baby boy "Jeremiah", we changed his name! his name is Jeremiah Draves, we are so happy with with him in our life and in our home and he is happy and safe with his new family and home. We took him to the doctor's office for his follow up and vacines and his health is pretty good, he is eating good, playing a lot with us and with his toys that mami Ines got for him; and all our friends and family are involved with us for Jeremiah, the new member of the Draves family. Attached please see some pictures of our baby boy Jeremiah. Thank you for keep in touch with us for Jeremiah's addoptions and progress. God bless you,

Big Boy
Big Boy

Hello Kathy, Big Boy who we renamed Brutus is doing great. Within about a week here at his new home he learned to use the dogie door by watching our other dog use it to go in and out. He loves to run around the back yard and chase he toys we throw for him to run after. We are signing him up for the next training classes for puppies at Pet smart. I think the training we be very good for him when we take him to parks and other places and when we walk him on his leash. He is growing so fast. We have a collar for him that is adjustable, and so far I have had to adjust it twice. Once again thank you for letting us adopt Brutus and make him part of our family. As soon as I get some pictures of him I will e-mail them to you. Harold Golder

Hi Kathy, Bailer is now Bailey and he is doing great. He is sweet and very smart cute as can be and a little mischevious. My son Zachary is doing better in school and on so many other levels because of his new pal.I am surprised at his level of responsibility helping me take cake of Bailey and as you can see from the picture they wear themselves out playing.Adopting a dog ios the only way to go and I am glad you were there with Bailey. p.s. I hope his brother got adopted and is part of a family of his own Thanks again Zachary and Richard
