Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Chayun
Chayun

Her new name is Gracie Sue, and as you can see, she loves her new home and her new big dog friends and her new foster puppy play buddy Tundra!

Cebu
Cebu

Hi Kathy, Cebu is doing great! We actually re-named him Bruno :) Our cat tego and Bruno are still warming up to each other but have made alot of progress :) I have attached a few pics. He is growing so fast! We are very happy to have him as the newest member of our home. My son loves to play with him and he is even learning new tricks. So far he knows Sit and Paw(we are very proud) :)We have decided to stay with the vet you already had him with and they are very nice and keeping up with all his shots. So once again, Thank you for everything and all that your organazation does! Angie,Ricky & Jony

Coally
Coally

Coally has been renamed Maggie. (Simpsons) She loves spending time with her big brother Caleb. Caleb has a wonderful playmate. Maggie sleeps in her own crate with a soft bed in it. We leave it with the door open and she marches in and takes a nap. She likes to pull the soft bed on top of herself like a blanket. When she's not sleeping like that, she sleeps on top of the blanket/bed with all 4 feet sticking straight up with her belly exposed. She'll sit by the front door when she wants to go out and has learned to "sit". She likes to go on walks with Caleb and she won't pull as long as she is ahead of Caleb, Caleb doesn't mind he's just happy to have another dog around. Maggie has been to the Vet in Greenacres and Village Royale, they all say she's going to grow bIG. We may try and visit second chance adoptions the neXt time that you are at RedBarn. Everyone who meets our Maggie fall in love with her. They say she has such a great personality, and ask where we ot such a great dog. She will be a great advocate for second chance adoptions. I have attached some pictures of her. Thanks again to Pamela for fostering her, I think it makes a diffrence when you adopt from a foster home rather than a shelter. She seems very happy and well adjusted.

Cudjo
Cudjo

Hi. Cudjo is doing great. He is such a baby. I get compliments about him all the time (the eyes and how big he is going to be). He is quite a hit. It seems like he never wants to go inside. He loves going on walks and checking everything out. I am anxious for the future. Nicole

Cuddy
Cuddy

Hi there, Cuddy is doing great and has adjusted very well to her new habitat. She now goes by the name Zara in our house and seems to be really enjoying life. The Vet says she is very healthy and she is very active, just what we wanted. Thanks so much for the help! -- Have a Blessed Day, Thomas J. Farina Jr.
