Animal Success Stories
As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story! Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Fiyero
Hi Kathy,
Fiyero, now Cowboy, is doing great. He is the sweetest dog ever. He loves to run the property and seems to be quite comfortable rounding up the horses hence his new name. His stitches heeled up nicely from the neuter. He did have some type of strange bacteria in his urine that caused us some alarm. We have given him a series of antibiotics from the vet and he seems fine now.
We would like to know exactly what shots he received in you're care and if he's due for any others. The vet seems to have lost his info from that time period.
Thanks
Jim

Fifi
Second Chance, Kathy, We love our FiFi, We named her Daisy . She seems to be deaf, and has problem with her nose breathing, she chokes and coughs a lot. I put some saline solution in her nose and it helped . She is a cutie, here is some pictures of her. Hope you can see them. If not let me know and I will send them again as an insert.
Sincerely, Will and Jeanette
Fenway
Hi!
Fenway is doing so well! He went running a lot yesterday and played fetch, and after he sat and cuddled on our laps. He is absolutely perfect for us and we love him so much already.
He had a tiny accident last night, but when we took him out this morning we realized he'd been a trooper holding it all in :) he stayed in his bed all night, as we hadn't gotten him a crate yet.
He's doing really well, and loves our attention, and we love his. Thank you again, we couldn't be happier.
Please feel free to email me, i'm happy to answer.
God bless, marianne
Fitch
Kathy,
We have renamed Fitch "Timmy Tebow" and he is currently leaping and jumping up my leg trying to reach into my lap. He is cute, active, a "peepee" boy, and has just mastered getting out of the house to poop. We love him very much, but he is certainly a handful. Our empty nest no longer seems so empty. While our five year old rescued dog likes to play with him when SHE wants to play, she has learned where to go in the house where Timmy cannot follow and hides out sometime. Timmy is fond of eating, chasing our cat, staring at birds in the sky, and sleeping cuddled with us or nestled between someone's legs in a blanket. We are thrilled to have him and glad for the follow up. Thank you for checking in! I have attached recent photos of Timmy for your files.
Good luck with your other adoptions. This one was great for us!
