Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Nugget

"Nugget" or now Teddy is doing well. He's completely changed our lives for the better. How did we live without him before.

Newton

Update from Newton who was adopted yesterday: His name is now Fred and he is settling into his home very well

Nuggett

We adopted Nuggett officially on Saturday. ..he just won us over. He sleeps all night......in bed with us. He tries to carry large palm fronds home with him. Nuggett has also taken over the loveseat for his naps...

Nathan

Hello A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue:

We adopted Nathan on March 24, 2012 and life has not been the same! We love him and are so blessed to have him in our lives! His name is now Tank and he is our precious baby! He goes with us everywhere! He is such an amazing, well behaved, friendly boy! He loves playing with other dogs at the doggie park, chasing after balls, playing tug-a-rope, and loves to swim. He's full of energy and is always happy. He's incredibly smart, loves to do all the obstacles at the dog park, and is really good at following directions.

When we originally brought him home, we barely had to potty train him (Please tell the foster mom we said THANK YOU, YOU'RE AWESOME!) We are so happy to have him in our lives, We couldn't ask for a better pup! Thank you so much for bringing him into our lives!

Sincerely,
Melissa

Nyla

It’s been 3 weeks and 2 days since we brought our little Nyla home, and it feels like she’s been ours forever!

She’s the smartest little puppy ever, and we can’t go anywhere without someone complimenting her pretty green eyes and good behavior. At 11 weeks, she knows to tell us when she has to outside to potty (even in the middle of the night). She’s learned sit, stay, lay down, paw, hi5, kisses and does them all perfectly, even with no treats. She loves to run, play and cuddle with us.

We love her so much and are so proud to be her pet parents! I’ve included a pic of her after a long day of fun!

Thanks so much for letting us adopt her!

A.P.
