Dudley

Hello Kathy, Thanks for following up on Dudley. By the way, his new name is Charley. He’s doing great – he’s almost tripled his weight, he’s really a happy puppy (full of energy) and he’s up-to-date on doctor’s visits and vaccinations. Thanks for doing such a great job. Mickey Mansfield, LCAM

Medley

Howdy all, While still a bit rambunctious, Medley is doing very very well and has become a very welcome addition to our family and is now dominating our lifestyle. She's coming around more and more to me, and is simply enamored with my 5 year old. She's great with the neighborhood kids and most visitors, and we're all very happy that we found each other.

Zeke

My first two attempts to send this failed, but I finally realized the message was too big and took out one of the pictures of Zeke. Zeke is doing wonderfully. He fit me and my other dog Teddy like a glove. He's very social and not afraid of anything - unlike Teddy - Teddy hates having his picture taken (flashes) and hates thunderstorms. While I suspect Zeke has brought Teddy out from under the bed where he spends a lot of time and feels safe, I think it is more out of jealousy than wanting to play with Zeke. Zeke spends a lot of time sleeping, but loves his walks and car rides. If I'm going to be gone for more than the day, they come with me or have a dog sitter. I have been out of work since January, but will return the week after next, so I've had a lot of time with both of them. I had income besides a normal job, so there was no danger of life being too difficult to care for these two little guys. I've had two dogs all the time for the past 16 years or so. Even though Zeke is missing most of his top teeth, is hard of hearing and has catarachts and arthritis, he gets around well and he has a safe and quiet household to do so. I just love him and couldn't be happier with him. My friends and I have joked that his D-harmony ad (dog-harmony on 2nd chance puppies and kittens rescue), was just as he is - he's a gentlemen, housebroken, never destroys anything, loving yet independent. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to care for Zeke in his senior years and be part of my family. Karen Jacobs

Hi, Bless is a blessing to us. We just got back from the dog park here in Martin County. Everyone loves here there, dogs and people. She runs and runs and comes home exhausted. She is going for a week with us to St. Augustine beach in August. Thank you for taking such good care of her so that we could have her as a part of our family. Mary Higgins --

Scruffy

Scruffy has been a terrific addition to our family. He has adjusted extremely well to our other dogs, a 15 year old yorkie and 7 year old sheltie. He is one of the most loveable, playful dogs we have ever had. Ellen was terrific with the adoption and I think Scruffy will be very happy for a long time. Sincerely, Wayne Miller
