Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Tango

To all at A Second Chance Rescue, Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to adopt Tango, (now is Charlie). He is a great addition to our family and a wonderful companion not only to us, for Dita (Zory's 8 year old dog, black lab/pointer mix), too. Charlie is a happy, healthy, energetic, entertaining, loving little nugget. He gets millions of kisses and hugs from all of us every day. I am so incredibly happy to have him.

Mini Me

Mini Me is doing very well and his name is Bruno now. He is very affectionate and always wanting to play. We took him to the vet and he had I believe "whip worms". We treated him and all seems well now. He gets walked 3 or 4 times a day and he thinks he is a full grown Pinscher...LOL...and he lets all the other dogs in the neighbor hood know this...He gets along and has bonded with our cats. We love him and thank you ! Phil & Carol Spinda

Peppy

She is doing very very well! Her new name is Maya! She has loads of energy but she is at the barn with me all day long and loving it! She loves all of her doggy friends! And is incredibly smart! It took me no time to house break her and teach her all of her tricks! I'm very happy with her and she seems to be happy as well ~ Jackie <3

Black Jack

Hello,
Blackjack is doing well. I took him to the vet due to a spasm issue. Vet advises he has the hiccups. The hiccups are subsiding and hopefully will cease. He runs around like a rocket and loves to play. He has already destroyed two toys. He is mischievous to say the least. He continues to poop in the early morning hours in the back room but some days no poop in the room when I get up. He is still a puppy so far. I went to the goomers and had him bathed and trimmed. Well that's how he is doing and my granddaughter loves him and plays with him when I babysit her during the week. Talk to you again in the future.
