Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Boss

Maureen, I wanted to send you and updated picture of Boss. He definately has personality. These were taken at Christmas time. He has brought so much love and joy to our family. Boss has been diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia, only about 10% of the ball in the socket. He had TPO surgery on his right leg about 5 weeks ago and is doing well. It is hard to keep an active puppy kenneled for 10 weeks to heal. :) Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to adopt him. I will keep you updated as he gets older. We are going to test him for the therapy dog program. I think he will be really good at that. He just loves everyone.
