Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Hi: Spencer is a beautiful puppy. He's adjusted very well to our family. Growing fast but still as cute as a button. He was 20 lbs at our first visit with Dr. Fox, Saturday he weighted 27 lbs! Picture attached. He's enrolled in Behavioral Training Classes, week 3 this Saturday. He gets lots of exercise with our grandchildren who visit everyday after school. We were very happy with the entire adoption procedure. Are only questions/concerns were how much crate training he had and he really could have used a bath. He was really, really stinky.
