Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Libre

Hello, We have been so blessed to have adopted Libre (now named Buddy). He is the perfect combination of high energy and lazy when he wants to be :) We have had to constantly give him something to chew, because he has destroyed all the toys we gave him the first day! He had some accidents in the house, but thankfully we have all tile floors. We are having some trouble with crate training. One of the gentlemen volunteers had told us which crate to buy, but it ended up being too big and he was able to do his "business" inside of it. We realized a few days later that there was a divider, so that has helped some. He has gotten a little spoiled because we couldn't take the whining so we let him sleep in his bed instead of the crate at night. Our son loves Buddy SOOO much! He is constantly trying to play with him and unfortunatly teasing him too. Buddy is very much loved and we are very happy with our adoption!
