Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Ubu

Tucker (formerly Ubu) is doing great. We had a little problem in the beginning as he turned out to have worms when I adopted him, but he seems to be recovering nicely. He's pretty much completely house-trained and eats like a horse. My other dog, Bella, loves Tucker but is quick to let him know she's the boss. They spend the majority of the day playing together and it's not uncommon to see Tuck flying off the couch to tackle her. All that playing tends to wear them out, so we all take a nap every afternoon, and Tucker's favorite spot is curled up on the pillow right next to my head :) I couldn't be happier with Tucker & the great addition he is to my little family!
