Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Akela

Dear Kathy, Akela's new name is Kayla or KK for short. She is a very busy little puppy. She is growing quickly. She has three little boys who love on her and play with her constantly. We took her to the dog park yesterday where she was able to meet other small dogs like her. She made friends quickly. We are working on housebreaking her, teaching her not to bite, showing her the difference between her toys and the kids' toys. She is a smart and sweet little dog. She is fitting into our family well. Thanks for checking in. We will send pictures as soon as we can.
