Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Spice

Well to begin with her name has changed to GINGER. Our family is really happy to have her with us and she is very happy with her new forever home and family.

We have changed her food to Natural Choice and she loves it. Ginger is now 98% potty trained the other 2% is our fault when we miss her signals Ha! Ha! She is very good with the kids and with all of the other dogs and cats in our community. Our neighbors are in love with her. She enjoys going after a Frisbee or ball in our yard. It is hard to get her back in from play time in the yard. She still does a little play biting and we’re working on that. Next month we’ll have a trainer from fun dog training starting a series of training sessions to establish some commands and eradicate some of that puppy behavior.

Overall Ginger has turned out to be the perfect addition to our family. She's a very smart, loving and submissive dog.
