Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Major

Hello Kathy, We have renamed "Major" to Rexx and Thank You, he is adjusting very well. He has grown so much and must be about 25 lbs now! He eats like a horse! We think he may have some Dane in him because his legs are so long for his still puppy body... He gets along well with our Dal and they play and luckily we haven't had any fighting yet. We do have one issue with him eating his feces and tried medication but it only worked for a couple of days so if you have any suggestions all are of course welcome. It is very difficult with a fenced in yard to scoop every bit of it away and he runs pretty fast now. We are working on behaviour modification and possibly that may take hold sooner than later hopefully. Attached are some pictures taken a couple of weeks ago before his most recent growth spurt.
