Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Ree-Cee

Hi Kathy :) We're all doing fine... Ree-Cee is growing so fast. When we adopted her she was 7.5 pounds and the obvious runt. Three weeks later she's 20 lbs and has filled out nicely! She and our older dog get along well... he's almost 10 so he's not keen on running around with her but they co-exist fine. When adopted, she had hook worms and coccidia but that's been treated. All healthy on her last checkup this past Saturday. Once we're past the teething and the potty training, we'll be in a more comfortable position. Ree-Cee's just learned to ring the bells at our door to go out so that is a major step. Teething we'll just have to endure until it's done but she's not teething on furniture...just our hands. So things are good :)
