Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Jackson

May 2011 Update:
Hi Lisa:
I thought I would update you on Jackson (who my granddaughter named Tater as soon as she saw him). He is doing great. He is starting to act more like a Jack Russell. We take him on a walk every night and when we get home he runs through the house as fast as he can. He spends most of his time on my lap or my husband's lap, actually on anyone's lap that happens to sit down. He was afraid of the grandchildren when he first got here, but now he is used to them and has realized they drop a lot of food on the floor. Plus, thank goodness all of the grandkids are very gentle with animals. I am going to attach a few pictures. He loves to sit on my lap in the kid's swingset in the back yard. We all love him and he is very spoiled. Just wanted to give you an update.

Jackson arrived safely in Michigan. He is fitting in just fine. Pretty much a lap dog. Here are a couple pictures of him after he arrived. He doesn't seem to mind the snow. It has a nice crust on top so he can walk on top. He did break through the crust and didn't quite know what to do. He is definitely interested in figuring out what it is.
