Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Cubby

Hi, My name is Lila Ritchey and we adopted Cubby, whos name is now Jet! He is such a good and well behaved dog. He now knows come, sit, paw, down, crate and we are starting to teach him fun tricks like roll over! He also like a game of fetch. He does not care to jump into the pool yet but he certainly loves water more his size like a bath! He is very funny when we take him on walks, he must have the leash in his mouth like he is walking himself! He has learned our routine and loves to cuddle up on the TV couch while we all watch a movie. My husband and I are very glad we got to adopt a dog like Jet.
