Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Thanks for checking in. We decided to call him Riley. He's doing great! He just turned 4 months old on August 6 and is at least 1/3 the size bigger than he was a month ago when we took him home. He went in for the complimentary check up and got his other puppy shot. He will be going back soon to get the rabies shot and any additional shots that are necessary.

He is adjusting very well too! We have 2 cats at home and now he and one of them are like "Milo & Otis." We live on a street with a dead end so there's hardly any traffic and when I take Riley out on a walk, the cat comes too! It's hilarious. We are still working on potty training with him but he is definitely getting better. He knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and we're in the process of learning roll over. He's a great addition to our family and he is spoiled with attention, love, and plenty of playtime.

I'm so glad that we were able to adopt him and give him "A Second Chance.” I can't imagine living without him now and it's only been about 5 weeks. I have attached some pictures.
