Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Gillisby

Hi to the folks at A Second Chance Rescue, We decided to rename Gillisby and took a family vote, his new name is Cooper. Cooper and the family are adjusting together well. We know Cooper is very loving and cute, but we naturally think he is a real smart dog too! Cooper is a great addition to our family that includes teenagers, a cat and an older dog. See the attached photo taken on 1/21/12 (approx. 17 weeks old, 24 pounds). We are still unable to figure what his blood line could be, a Doberman, Rat Terrier, etc?
