Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Foxie

Hi Kathy, We renamed Foxie to Penny, which fits her personality perfectly. She's a very happy and proud little pup that will tackle any leaf that crosses her path during her walks. She has grown a little bit and is 12.5 lbs already! Her skin and coat have cleared up considerably, and her hairbrush and toothbrush are some of her favorite toys. She is finally strong and brave enough to go up and down the stairs without assistance, and is always keeping us within her sight. We finally got to hear her bark, and she's been known to give a few beagle howls during play time and on Michigan State game days. She is fully potty trained, and working on obedience.
