Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Hermosa

We adopted Hermosa on Saturday at pet smart. I was sad to see most her siblings were not adopted. She has been so wonderful, no accidents in the house which I am expecting and prepared for with resolve carpet cleaner. Lol! She is such a sweet well behaved dog at 2 mths old we are shocked! So gentle with our kids, I have a five yr old autistic child who is very gentle and she has picked that up and follows him everywhere already. Love at first sight. We are crate training but she is amazing with this as well. She cries for a few seconds, tell her no and she stops! Wow! She wakes me at night with a little cry every 2 hours, I walk her she pee pees and goes back to her crate. I think this litter has been fostered so well and I will definitely spread the word!
