Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Rosie

Update from July 2009... Hey team, I wanted to send you 2 updated pictures of Rosie. We just returned from vacation in Helen Georgia in the mountains and stopped for 2 days in Daytona Beach. Rosie and Nikki came along and they had the time of their lives. Attached is Rosie running on the beach - she loves to run and her and Nikki chase each other for hours. They are best friends and bring much happiness to our lives. Rosie has the most unbelievable personality. Her expressions are priceless and she always has to know where Nikki is. She sleeps on her own coach in front of the big window in the bed room. Every morning she sits behind the coach watching for squirrels in the back yard and as soon as she sees one she and Nikki are headed out the doggie door. All the kids in the neighborhood come over to play with her and Nikki. The funniest thing is to watch Rosie chase Nikki through the house when Nikki has a toy in her mouth. It brings tears to my eyes, they are so cute together. I could go on and on. Please put this on the website with her new pictures. Thanks, Jeannie >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> From 2008.... Kathy, Rosie is a sweet dog. Her and Nikki are doing great, best friends? Except when you get home and they fight to give kisses. Each one thinks it is only about them and they fight for the attention. Of course Rosie always wins, 45lbs vs. 10lbs. I have attached some great pictures. I get tears in my eyes when I watch them run through the house chasing each other for a toy. It is hysterical. Nikki gets under the dining room table and teases Rosie; they run from bedroom to dining room to living room -legs all over the place. They run together at the park about a 2 mile venture and when we get home they both crash on the floor. All of the neighbors, kids and dogs love Rosie. She is beautiful. Its not been easy. She goes to Pet Smart next week fro training. Can't wait.
