Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Gary

Hi from Wrinkles (formerly called Gary) I just wanted to share some photos with you of my new back yard and my friend "Cubby". I like chancing the butterflies and "hunting" in the back yard. There is lots of room to run. My "mom" Claudia likes taking pictures of me and she takes a set each week to see how much I have grown. I am up to 14 inches tall and about 18 pounds. I got my 12 weeks shots and the doctor said that I am doing great. I am healthy and just were I am suppose to be. Mom and "Dad" Ray are calling me a "scrounge hound" because I am already begging for food. But they won't share with me. I love my new home and have lots of toys to play with and my friend "Cubby". Sometimes I bite him too hard, but he still plays and sleeps with me. Dad and Mom play with me a lot too and I can't forget my "grandma" Ruth from next door, she comes over every day and plays with me in the back yard. My favorite toy is a squeaky frog, I almost have his legs torn off. I still like to chew on everything and sometimes I run away with Dad's sneakers, but I always give them back. I did chew up one of Mom's paperback books, took the covers right off, she was not to happy with me that day. But she still gave me a hug and kiss that night. My new parents are still trying to make me a "lap dog" so I will sit with them, but I have too much energy to sit in their laps. I do like climbing all over them in the recliner chair, I can take a running leap right into their laps. Well that is all for now. If you like my pictures and would like to see more just let me know. I know Mom would love to send you updates. Love, Wrinkles PS: from Ray and Claudia Vega - just wanted you to know that Wrinkles is doing great. We just love him to pieces. We are having so much fun with him. Thank you so much.
